Another moron for Bush.
One James Buffington, who has somehow become personally offended by the fact that I happen to be a liberal, tries to insult, threaten and intimidate me:
Frank
A liberal is a pussy like you.
A liberal is a pussy like Carter (the worst president in the 20th century)
A liberal is one without conviction or fortitude to do what needs doing
Oh yea bring your sorry ass to Georgia and will pistol whip your liberal ass.
From someone tired of sorry sons of bitches like you.
James
Those are awfully brave words for someone who lives across the continent from the object of his ire.
James, son, I have no reason and less desire to go to Georgia, but if I did, your pathetic little threats would do nothing to dissuade me.
Have a nice day!
Posted by Frank at October 29, 2004 12:20 PMHmmm. I live in SC, 14 miles from the Georgia border. Then again, I detest violence so I won't go after the jerk but if he comes here, I'll sick my wife on him. He won't stand a chance.
Posted by: Michael Miller at October 29, 2004 4:41 PMHeh. Yeah, my wife is Chinese, 4'10", 100 pounds soaking wet and I'm sure he would turn tail and run at the sight of her coming at him with blood in her eye. :-)
Seriously, though, I don't do threats and I don't buy into them. Were he to come here and interfere in my life, he would have to do so from a jail cell, but short of that, he can jump up and down and scream and rant all he wants and it will affect me not at all. I stopped being concerned about email threats back when I dealt with Dean Esmay regularly on soc.singles (circa 1995). (As it happens, several of us began referring to Dean as "dismay," per his email address; apparently the epithet still fits him.)
Even more weirdly, though, this James person apparently tried to call me on my business line; I had a voice mail message from him today. He introduced himself as "James Moron." Dunno, maybe he regrets going off half-cocked this morning...
Posted by: Frank at October 29, 2004 4:56 PMAt least he didn't call you a socialist. LOL. I had a hate email sent to me once where the guy called me a socialist (which I am far from) and then went on to show that he didn't have the slightest idea of what a socialist is to begin with.
For the record:
lib·er·al adj.
1. Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry.
2. Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded.
3. Of, relating to, or characteristic of liberalism.
4. Liberal Of, designating, or characteristic of a political party founded on or associated with principles of social and political liberalism, especially in Great Britain, Canada, and the United States.
Do these people even fathom what damage they are doing to their own minds, let alone the country? Jesus, you got it right Frank. Fascism is indeed here.
"Forgive them, for they know not what they do" --Jesus
Jesus Christ! Is just about right. . .
Posted by: crasspastor at November 1, 2004 8:46 PM4'10", huh. Kathy (my wife) is 4'11". She would beg to differ, but I think large is more of a disadvantage than small.
In any case, it's the diminutive people you need to watch out for. They learned early not to take anything off on anyone. Some, like the wonderful women we married, turn out very well indeed. The bad ones turn into Napolean or Bush.
Posted by: Michael Miller at November 2, 2004 6:28 AMThe pro-Bush crowd lives on soundbites. They have simple minded reasoning and support an imperialistic war-monger without reservation. What do 98% of the republicans today miss? The party's goals aren't to help the top 5% of society. They are out to help the top 0.001% of society. They sacrifice the US domestic economy to protect their base of wealth. They sacrifice lives of many dedicated youths to ensure a base for their oil industry. The war was a total fabrication and 90% of foreigners know it. Domestically, about 48% know it.
