A bit of good news.
The Independent Media Center has the text of a bill passed by the Hawaii State Legislature: State of Hawaii Renounces USA Patriot Act.
Hawaii has now become the first state to officially reject the "USA PATRIOT" Act and to call for its repeal. I'll bet that veins are throbbing in Ashcroft's temples and that he's absolutely livid with rage that a state legislature would try to block him.
I could only be more pleased if California would follow suit. Time to contact my representative in Sacramento.
