More about Mike Hawash.

Here's the website run by his former boss: Free Mike Hawash.

If you live in California, your senators are Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein. Write them. Tell them that the Justice Department must:

  • Charge Mr. Hawash with a crime,

  • Have Mr. Hawash testify in court as a material witness as quickly as possible, or

  • Release Mr. Hawash.

Again, this kind of thing is why I support impeachment of the President, Vice President, Secretary of Defense and Attorney General.

Mike is a piece of shit. Ramsey Clark is worst...not only shit but a traitor! FACT. You people are either stupid or a part of what we will render ineffective!

"A piece of shit." "Not only shit but a traitor."

Do you have even a shred of basis for these epithets you toss around with such great abandon? Er, and what the hell does Ramsey Clark have to do with the Mike Hawash situation?

As far as Clark himself, what, he's a traitor for having the temerity to criticize Bush and his cronies?

(I'm emailing this as well as posting it. If it bounces I'll be removing the "teresa ling" comment as being anonymous.)

Yes, Doug, he has been charged. It's not clear to me, though, that the evidence is any more than vaguely circumstantial. If it were solid, why would the Justice Department have held him as a "material witness" instead of going ahead and charging him? The people who know him assert that the charges are simply "guilt by association."

Regardless, at least now he will receive due process. Unless, of course, Ashcroft decides to call him an "enemy combatant" and hold him in Navy lockup without access to counsel. Like, say, Jose Padilla.

EVERYONE IS INNOCENCE TILL PROOFING GUILTY !!!!

Justice what is that, where is it?

I am a Muslim Arab living in the USA... I learn something .... IF i see anyone in the side of the freeway and needed ding and help, I WILL NEVER THINK STOP ..... just because they may charge me with helping him, I learn there is NO Justice in the USA. WE have to pay for other people crime..... I wish Mr. Hawash to be FREE soon and i will pray for him, and i wish the best for his family .....
